Yahoo Inc. may not be one of the top trendsetters, but it certainly aims to keep up with them. On Thursday the company expanded its online advertising arm by inviting small and midsize Web sites to join its Yahoo! Publisher Network.
The more inclusive ad program will be initially available through an invitation-only beta, and invitees will be able use the program’s “self-serve” platform to sign up for Yahoo advertising and access to syndicated Yahoo content as well.
By helping the broader publishing community maximize the value of their sites, we aim to create an even more rewarding Internet experience for publishers, advertisers and users,” said Bill Demas, senior vice president of Yahoo’s Partner Solutions Group.
